Nathan Harradine-Hale
I am a Canberra born and raised photographer. I love exploring and taking images of the beautiful town I call home. On the weekend you can find me either bar hopping with friends, jumping in the car with my camera and going on a road trip, or spending quality time with family.
To me, self-care means relaxation – arriving home after a big day and winding down with an incense burning and ambient music. I also try my best to be mindful of what I’m putting my body through, photography can be quite physical. I never hesitate to take time off for some repose whenever it’s needed.
Incense play a big part in how I ritual in my home. There’s always two burning at the same time.
I’m coveting Adytum’s ‘Sanctify’ scent at the moment.
I believe self-care is vital to maintaining a positive frame of mind. Developing and maintaining rituals based on practices that come naturally and are enjoyable, helps to ease me into a euphoric state.
I’m a huge believer that art, or in my case photography, is a way of therapy. It’s within the art of capturing a moment that I feel most calm and at ease with myself and my path. The creative process behind what I do amplifies my passion and creativity and is incredibly beneficial to my wellbeing.
I find creating content to be a beautiful adventure, however an audience may interpret it.
